Go Skateboarding Day, founded on June 21st, 2003 happens every year on June 21st. This is a day where skateboarders around the world celebrate what skateboarding is all about, which is really just having fun and to show what skateboarding is all about. It's skateboarding's "official holiday".
In Vancouver, skaters gather at the Skate Plaza early in the day, and then from there, skate to different spots throughout the city to skate for cash and prizes. Vancouver has a large amount of skaters who join in on the fun known as "Go Skateboarding Day".
