Receiving my Bachelors of Fine Arts, with a major in photography, from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, my work has revolved around three subjects of exploration. One being the underground punk and party scene in Vancouver, documenting my life in it and how I see it, and solely using point and shoot film cameras so I am immersed within the moment.
The other two subjects I explore are sexuality and melancholy, and these are done through the exploration of myself by using myself as a subject often through self portraits. With these, I further extend the exploration into the realm of social media, through instagram, snapchat, Tumblr, etc with the selfies I post onto it as we live in a very social media orientated world where one's persona is largely made online first before real life.
